Tell us a bit about yourself

Hi, I’m Xanthe.

I live and work in south-west Wales. I value good design and products that are made to last. I’m a compulsive maker; I love to practice, improve and learn new skills.

What type of craft do you specialise in?

I make beautiful sheepskin boots and slippers.

Describe your creations:

I designed these boots and slippers around the natural shape of the foot with plenty of space for the toes. I use ethically sourced sheepskin, veg tanned leather, organic hemp binding, recycled thread and recycled soles. Most of my work is make to order; my customers choose the colours, height of boot and type of sole.

What would you like to share with our audience?

I’d like to share what it is to make by hand. Each pair is personal and unique, shaped with skill and care, and connects me to the materials and the people who will wear them.
